Nathalie Couret
“Do what you love & love what you do”
I was raised in a small town in the South of France. Where the landscape, the rivers and the colours always caught my attention. This is where my love for art and my own creative development began .
Art-College
During the later years of the eighties art college thought me to take the time to observe shadows and lines so that I could let the forms in paintings speak for themselves.
The loveFor Art
It is my love for art, my feelings and pasion for colors, lines and contrasts that make my paintings exciting and mysterious.
Clair Obscur
The golden ’touch’ and the effect of light on a dark background that reminds one of the technique Of Clair Obscur. A technique often used in the art of painting during the 17th century.
Challenge
It is my intention to challenge the viewer and let my paintings speak to their observations. My paintings don’t give answers but ask questions. My paintings are always different in execution. Characters with a story, a harmony of colors, rigour, purity and romance.
